The Future Rendition of Yuba County Airport
excerpt from proposal by Ryan Aviation for improvement of FBO

Ryan Aviation foresees the opportunity for substantial growth in airport activity related to the two major developments near the airport, the Sacramento Valley Amphitheater and the Yuba County Motorplex.

Phase One -- Tear down the existing facility housing Ryan Aviation and construct a new two-story 12,930 square foot building in the same location, and renovate the attached existing hangar. The new facility would enhance service to both pilots and passengers by expanding the waiting room, flight planning area, and the car rental counter. This new facility also would house commercial office space and include a restaurant facility on the top floor. Nearly all of the space would be rented to either the fixed base operator or for professional office space and the restaurant. This phase of the development is recommended for completion before the raceway opens. The cost to construct phase one is estimated to be $1.68 million.

Phase Two -- This phase combines hangar improvements for overnight jet storage and an aircraft maintenance service area to service jets and other general aviation aircraft. Ryan Aviation anticipates the need for these improvements between 2001-2003. Cost estimates for phase two will require further study.

Phase Three -- The project's final phase includes the development of a passenger terminal and other amenities needed to serve passenger jets. Completion of phase three is contingent upon an airline service offering to provide service from the Yuba County Airport. Cost estimates for phase three will require further study.
